My experience with Forest Hills Restaurant was very pleasing. It seems that they were a little short staffed however, the waitress that attended me was absolutely remarkable! The lady's name is Sarah and she was very very sweet and nice to me. Her service and Meeting her will be very memorable!
Myself and my family eat at Forest Hill on a regular basis and have for years consistently good food great pizza and the best fried fish in the county on the buffet. The service is always courteous and Timely as a pleasant atmosphere and a fun gift shop always plenty of parking. I enjoy the fried chicken and all of the buffet items.
My husband and I stopped here hoping for a nice meal before our drive home. I was already suspect when we pulled in and the parking lot was empty, we weren't sure if they were open. We got in and were seated right away. We initially thought a buffet would be good but after seeing the buffet we decided menu might be better. Really, we should have run for the hills then! It looked disgusting, old, like it had been there for days. I ordered catfish, which was edible but not great. My husband had the Reuben which was dripping something very wet when he picked it up. He still decided to try a bite - BAD idea. He is still sick to his stomach and hour later.Salad bar wasn't much better. They did take it off the bill. The restroom had a wet sticky floor and smelled like urine. This place is just nasty. I seriously think the health department needs to make a visit to this place close to closing time. I can't believe that no one has become extremely ill from eating at this place. Save your money and potentially your health and go somewhere else!!!
It you want fancy, there are many places around and worth the more than double the price. If you want family atmosphere and tasty home style food, come to Forest Hill Restaurant. Seven years ago, I came with a friend and remembered the food and atmosphere. I'm glad I told my family about it.
From the moment my daughter, son-in-law, and myself stepped into this restaurant, we felt comfortable and well taken care of. After checking over the dinner bar, we chose that rather than off the menu. We chose well. My, those biscuits are good!
**To the owner - thanks for responding. We had no issues with our server or service. She was very polite and yes, she did offer to bring us the menu so we could order something else. But why would we do that? We had already had a terrible experience by that point and there was no way we were waiting around for something else that would've likely been just as bad. I am not one to leave negative reviews and I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. But the food and the cleanliness of your restaurant is simply awful.
What a suprise! My wife and I go to Eureka all the time, and have pretty much run out of "new" dining options. We went a little further down the road (a road we've been down MANY times) and had never seen the restaraunt sign. We dined their buffet and were very pleased with the home style food. Fried chicken was great. Salad bar was great. Service was great. This may seem unfair, but I give it 4 vs 5 star because of the desert options. Pudding or tha bread pudding stuff. No pie, ice cream, cake, cookies etc. I go to almost every buffet I see at least once, so I'm picky. If you don't care about the desert options, you'll be very pleased with this buffet.
