I think they did well with the design given the limited space available to them. The staff was totally amazing. I tried testing our server's knowledge and he was on point about everything. Including the food sources and the backstory behind the owner/chef, where their beef is purchased from, and why. Super impressed with that attention to detail.
The food itself I thought was good and satisfying, but I didn't think it was spectacular given the price point. I would go back again though.
I really hate that I have to give this place a bad review, we love the space and everyone is always friendly but the kitchen just can't get it together. This is my first bad review after 3 bad experiences. If you love well done this is your place. Twice I've ordered my salmon med and it was so dry I couldn't eat it. Last weekend I ordered the lamb med rare. It was served well done, I couldn't eat it and did ask politely if they could prepare it as I had ask. It came out again med well. We love you but we are done and will not return or recommend you to our friends.
The food and service were both phenomenal! Highly recommend. Get there early or you may miss your chance to have lamb before it’s bought out. Make sure you make a reservation because they’re good and everyone knows it. If you forget they also own a lounge on the upper level where you can have drinks and appetizers until your table is ready
Cocktails were good and the food was great. Maybe top 10 meal of all time. The presentation on the smoked duck & rice pilaf was top notch, and the flavor was unreal. The service was friendly, and our dessert was very good. This will be a permanent stop on future visits.
Grotto was an amazing experience for both of us. If you are a fan of mushrooms their wine soaked mushrooms are absolutely delicious! The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and you couldn't find a more tender piece of meat. The most amazing part was our server, Rick. He was a tremendous example of a great server. The only negative that I have was I did not care for the sauce with the lamb chops, but my significant other liked it. We were able to get right in and get seated on a Friday evening but we were fortunate. Plan ahead of you want to eat here because they do get quite busy. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Eureka Springs!!
