I had a very positive experience here, from the food to the service. The hostess I had was probably one of the most friendly people I had met on my trip. She even recommended some really amazing places for me to stop at while in town. I had ordered a steak and it came out, cooked the way I had requested. I did not have to wait a long time either. The chicken fried steak there was delicious too. I will definitely be stopping by when I'm in town again.
Appetizer was not brought until dinne
Horrible experience. We usually go to the Rowdy Beaver every time we go to Eureka Springs. But after our experience Saturday night, we will never go back! We ordered 2 margaritas, both were different and tasted terrible. We ordered an appetizer, which was fine, and we both ordered the Prime Rib. The couple behind us came in 15 minutes after we did and ordered the same thing we did. An hour later, they had already finished their dinner and we still didn't have ours. We told them we were ready to leave and it took them 15 minutes to get our check. $32 for 2 mixed drinks, a beer, and an appetizer and the manager wouldn't even come out and talk to us. We will never be back!!! I wouldn't have even given them one star, but it wouldn't let me rate it without it!! Oh and by the way, when we were checking out they brought out our meals to try to get us to stay and it wasn't even what we ordered, it was small steaks instead of Prime Rib!
Food was terrific. Wait staff was excellent. Wish I could remember waitress name but she was blonde 25-30. Great girl. Hostess was a redheaded girl really sweet. Really enjoyed our meal. Had the Kc steak and it was cooked to perfection. Will return when in the area.
We were a bit hesitant based on some of the less-than-glowing reviews but we were reasonably pleased overall. My turkey melt was fairly substantial and tasty, made with meat they told me was smoked on-site. The bride enjoyed her shrimp po-boy and onion rings. The server was pleasant. Two minor items: they apparently are having some kind of napkin shortage and they could have offered a larger portion of baked beans especially since they were so flavorful. The prices are about what you'd expect in a tourist town.
Food was average and over priced. Very disappointing experience. Our waiter , John G , was vey inattentive while he ignored us to sit down and visit with friends at another table and the bar. Appetizer did not arrive until meal was served. When a little dab of ranch dressing to finish fried green beans was requested we were told there would be an extra charge. John was very indifferent and said he couldn’t bring more without charging since his every move was on camera. John was rude and unfriendly. Did not enjoy dining there. Will never go back!
